2012 was a great year for me. I started it off with a brand new camera from my fantastic wife, which inspired me to take as many pictures as I could as often as possible. My wife and I went on several adventures all over Utah, Colorado, and Oregon. I got eaten alive by mosquitoes, soaked by waterfalls while trying get a good angle, covered in coal ash as I trodded through an old train yard, beaten to death by windblown sand, frozen to death by sub-zero temperatures, and run over by cars who didn’t understand why it was necessary for me to be in the middle of the road to take a picture. In spite of all that, it turned out to be a pretty productive year.

I wanted to do my favorite 50 photos from 2012, but I just couldn’t narrow it down that far. So I decided to do my favorite 100 photos. Well, I couldn’t narrow it down that far either, so 101 it is. Most of these photos have appeared on my blog before, but there are a few that have never been published. Hopefully you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
