We just got back from a therapeutic trip to Oregon for Thanksgiving. I say therapeutic because I really needed some green in my life. It’s gotten cold and brown here in Utah now that the snow has melted, so it was wonderful to see the green fields of western Oregon over the holiday. I had a wonderful time with family and ate my fair share (as well as three other people’s shares) of fatteningly delicious food. I’m mostly regretting it now. One of my favorite parts of the trip, however, was driving all over the countryside taking photos of the farmland. There are few things in this world that are prettier than an Oregon farm in the morning mist. I also wandered the woods near my in-law’s house and took photos of anything that happened to strike my fancy including horses, mushrooms, moss, leaves, and the occasional slug. I was in heaven.
