My wife and I just had our one-year anniversary, so we decided to celebrate by going to her family’s lake house in Oregon. We had a great time boating, tubing, wake boarding, jumping off docks, hiking, and stuff like that, but I think I might have had the best time taking pictures. We were there for 8 days and I only took about 2,000 photos, so not bad overall. Really, I’m just lucky I didn’t drop my camera in the water. I chased birds all over that lake in both a paddle boat and a canoe, and generally just disturbed the wildlife as much as possible. I also stayed up late one night because there was supposed to be a meteor shower. Instead of the 40-50 meteors an house I was expecting, I saw a grand total of 4. I guess I’ll have to wait until next time to get a photo of a shooting star.
