So I was kind of stretching for a title on this one. I already have a train post, I know, but I took so many dang pictures of trains over Memorial Weekend that it took me weeks just to edit all of them and there was no way I was going to be able to fit them into one post. Thus, the issue of creating a name for post that’s very similar to one that I already have. I really wanted to incorporate the word “caboose” into the title. It just seemed so fitting. And I had to have alliteration, so I looked up part of a locomotive engine on Wikipedia and chose “coupling rod” for the hard consonant sound at the beginning.
So this gallery is a conglomeration of photos from a couple different locations. Some were taken in Antonito, CO, where the Cumbres and Toltec railroad ends. Others were taken of the Union Station in Grand Junction, CO, because I saw it out of the corner of my eye while driving home to Utah and just had to have a picture or two of it. Finally, a few of the photos were taken in Price, UT. I was driving and my wife was asleep, so she couldn’t tell me no when I all of a sudden turned off the road when I saw some railroad paraphernalia.
