After shooting Brett and Lisa’s formals at the Utah State Capitol Building, I was really excited to do their wedding photos at the Mount Timpanogos Temple which is one of my absolutely favorite temples.
(I remember attending the open house and dedication when I was kid–ironically, my future wife was also there at the dedication.)
Since Brett is my cousin, I was also especially excited about this wedding because it involved my whole family. Additionally, they did my favorite thing ever which is to have their wedding reception in the morning. AND WITH WAFFLES!
Their reception was held the morning of the wedding at a reception center near the temple where they served fresh waffles with sliced fruit, syrup, and a variety of wonderful waffle paraphernalia including a waffle wedding cake.
It was a beautiful day, and the weather was perfectly overcast which was perfect for wedding photos. It started raining a little right at the very end, but we managed to avoid it.
The grounds were also gorgeous with lots of blooming flowers, grass that was almost unearthly green, and dramatic clouds. Here’s hoping for more weddings at the Mount Timpanogos Temple!
