A few weeks ago, my wife had the day off from school, so she convinced me to take the day off as well to go adventuring. We decided to head out to Antelope Island State Park which is located at the south-western end of the Great Salt Lake. Despite the name, it’s only mostly an island. Depending the water level, it’s actually connected to land in a couple places, but it definitely feels like an island with its semi-exotic wildlife (bison, antelope, etc.) and seclusion.
Since the trip to the quasi-island was also close to my son’s second birthday, we decided to do some photos of him to mark the occasion:
He had a wonderful time playing on the beach, running around with sticks and rocks, exploring the Antelope Island ranch, and watching bison. It was a fun day with some great photo opportunities. I will definitely be going back.
